Course Reps
As a Union we’re a dynamic body of people – students join and leave us every year, and the views of that body changes. It is important to us that we always represent our students in the best way we can.
Each year the Union and the University look to elect students on every course to become a Rep and ensure their department takes the needs of its students into account. Course Reps support and represent their peers throughout the year by acting as a link between the student body and the University. They attend Student-Staff Consultative Forums (SSCFs) and give feedback (both good and ‘room for improvement’ issues) to those who can bring about positive changes for all.
As a Course Rep you are there to talk and listen to your fellow students (not just those you are friends with) to find out what issues they may have and what it is they want from Edge Hill. You will receive support and guidance from the Union and can always signpost your fellow students to us for extra help!
Elections take place in Early October, followed by some valuable training from the Students’ Union to help you prepare for your role.
Ask your tutor about Course Reps today or call in at the Students’ Union office, where you will find our Course Rep Development Worker ready to answer any questions!
